Everyday Mac – Remove distractions – Get more done!

For all the Getting Things Done folks out there here’s a couple of ways to be more productive. Basically it involves focusing on one thing at a time.

The technique centers around a feature that is popping up more and more in software, its called “full screen mode”. The idea is to blank out everything else on your desktop but the application you’re working in.

The applications that make this possible are listed here and I suggest you check them out and see which one works best for you. Some are free and some charge a small amount. [Note: links open in a new window]

Also turn hiding on for the dock so it’s out of the way too. You can adjust this under the Apple menu in your menu bar.
